Understanding outcomes of social enterprise is an international goal

Over the past year, leading international organisations have recognised the value of the social and solidarity economy - which includes social enterprises - to the advancement of fairer, green, and innovative economic futures.

The United Nations General Assembly resolution, Promoting the social and solidarity economy for sustainable development, encourages member states to recognise the role of the social and solidarity economy in creating more just and sustainable futures, and enable capacity building initiatives that support the sector. The OECD's Recommendation on the Social and Solidarity Economy and Social Innovation identifies 'encouraging impact measurement and monitoring' and 'supporting the production of data' as two of the nine building blocks for a thriving sector. The Seedkit team has been in contact with the OECD about Seedkit and its approach to enabling both of these building blocks in the Australian context. Watch (and use) this space!

Seedkit acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the unceded lands on which we work, learn and live, and recognises the unique place held by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the original owners and custodians of the lands, skies and waterways of the Australian continent.
